I thought the number of people attending the U.S Olympic wrestling trials was amazing. I didn't think that many people actually watched wrestling. To have the records beat by 30 percent is pretty awesome.
The most interesting thing I found was Mitt Romney voted for victory. Because he played an important role to be nominated for president and also faces challenges in being the nominee on when Christians remain suspicious about Romney's Mormon faith.
This year in Iowa there has been a lot of ATV accidents, and I feel like we could do/change something to make this not happen as often. Well we don't really want it to happen at all. Some people drive crazy, and some people get in accidents on accident. I found that most significant, cause I feel like we could change this from happening.
To me I think it is the atv accident rate going up. This weekend my dad's friend's wife passed away after a four-wheeler accident, it is really sad to hear that because she wasnt even messing around, she had a helmet on, was going slow, but four-wheelers and ATV'S are not safe.
I found most interesting that the farmers are going to plant the most corn for the year of 2012 since WWII. The farmers are also changing the makeup of their fields so that they are capable of producing more corn.
That president oboma is going to be in iowa today. he is going to iowa city to speak on part of a three-state tour to launch an effort to get Congress to prevent interest rates on student loans from doubling in July.
I thought Obama coming to Iowa, to UNI to speak about an effort to get Congress to prevent interest rates on student loans from doubling in July was the most interesting news story for this week.
I think that the most interesting story was about the police officer that was caught with drugs and drug paraphernalia because he is not supposed to encourage that or do that because it is his job.
I found the Officer story top be the most interesting. It shows how sometimes people with power abuse it, and make bad decisions. But i found it funny because he is a cop, and he has busted people for stuff like that, and now he is the one in hot water.
To me the most interesting news story I read about was the 41 year-old sex offender who tried to solicit 2 boys earlier this month. The boys refused and where able to give the police a very good description of the man which led to the arrest. This is interesting cause there are some disgusting people out there and living in a town with a lot of younger kids can be a scary thing for parents.
I think the most interesting news story in iowa this week is about the cop in Des Moines, who got caught with illegal drugs in the cop car. I think this is most interesting because I thought cops were suppose to give a good example for kids and well everybody.
I think that the officer that was caught with drugs was interesting because they should be setting examples of the law, not breaking the law themselves. We look up to officers for the fact that they stop people like the sex offender and they stop things from happening but now, we second think that and wonder what do they really do?
I think the story of the gas line blowing up was interesting. The guys who were in the accident living to tell their story. I bet the story will be amazing to hear.
I think the most interesting current event this week was Google building a data center in Council Bluffs. That means more jobs in Iowa, and it would help the economy here in iowa
I thought that all was most interesting Obamas finnaly doing great things, Gas is lowering down even though it always does then it blows up again, and the guy wanting to be his own lawyer Big props even tho hes going to massively fail.
I think the most interesting thing that happend this week was when a pipe line blew up. Two people where injured when they hit the piple line with a trenching machine. It was a natural gas line and it burned for 85 minutes.
I find it suprising that a police officer was caught with marijuana in his trooper car. It just shows people that not all police officers are what they seem to be.
I think that Jill Biden giving her speech in May on the 11th is very interesting. She is the Vice president Joe Bidens wife. She is giving her speech at the community college in iowa city.
I heard about a story on a cop in Des Moines who had drugs in his vehicle that he had planned to use himself. This was surprising and reputation breaking for that man. Everyone makes mistakes but this definatly took me by surprise
I think it was the cop who had meth in his car and no one found it un tell he had to get his tire fixed. Its kinda surprising and just shows you sometimes people aren't what they seem.
